Windows Server 2008 is Microsoft's last 32-bit server operating system. While it was initially planned to be released to manufacturing by the end of 2007, Microsoft pushed back the RTM date for Windows Server 2008, formerly codenamed Longhorn, to early 2008 due to quality issues. At this point in time, the product is still planned for release at the end of February 2008, with Windows Vista Service Pack 1 to follow.
